The Good Briar is built on a simple belief: memorable moments don’t happen by accident — they’re crafted with intention, creativity, and a strategy that knows how to cling to the right audience.
I’m Bill, a creative professional with more than 20 years of experience helping higher education institutions, nonprofits, and mission‑driven organizations tell their stories with clarity, purpose, and emotional resonance.
I created The Good Briar to help organizations build content marketing systems that feel alive, meaningful, and impossible to ignore — the kind of storytelling that stays with people long after they’ve scrolled past, clicked away, or walked out the door.
Bill Goloski is a strategic marketing and creative direction professional with more than two decades of experience shaping brand identity, content strategy, and visual communication for higher education, nonprofit, and mission‑driven organizations. His work is grounded in a belief that creativity is universal — and that strong design and storytelling help people navigate complex environments, connect with meaningful ideas, and take confident action.
Bill began his career at Morrisville State College, where he learned firsthand how design influences daily experience. From campus signage to recruitment publications, he saw how thoughtful visual communication could guide thousands of students through their academic lives. This early work shaped his philosophy: design is not decoration — it is direction.
After relocating to the Pacific Northwest, Bill joined Oregon Tech, where he expanded his role into creative leadership and organizational strategy. He managed a full in‑house creative team, taught design principles to university students, and served in interim leadership positions that required clarity, collaboration, and long‑range planning. His work strengthened institutional branding, improved recruitment communication, and elevated the university’s public‑facing presence across print, digital, and environmental platforms.
Bill’s branding work has had lasting impact across multiple institutions. He created the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) logo (2022–present), the Oregon Tech state university logo (2011–present), and the Morrisville Mustangs athletic logo (2008–present). He also revised and modernized the Morrisville State College logo (2005–2018). In addition to these identity systems, Bill developed three full branding guidelines and graphic identity packages, establishing rules, procedures, and governance frameworks that continue to guide organizational consistency and reputation.
Beyond higher education, Bill has led creative and marketing initiatives for agricultural organizations, nonprofits, and national associations. His portfolio includes magazine production, trade show campaigns, direct mail, digital advertising, social media strategy, photography, video direction, and comprehensive brand systems. He is fluent in the persuasive frameworks of ethos, pathos, logos, and kairos — using each to help organizations build reputational capital through strategic communication.
Today, Bill continues to help institutions and businesses develop content marketing programs, brand identities, and multimedia storytelling that resonate with audiences and support long‑term growth. His work blends analytical insight with creative vision, ensuring every project is grounded in purpose, clarity, and a deep understanding of how people engage with information.
